Taste Mesón has been operating since 2014 and is a stable and well-established business with an excellent reputation among both locals and international guests.

We offer a fine dining-level culinary experience in a warm, personal and relaxed environment with beautiful sea views. With over 350 wines and champagnes by the glass – one of the largest selections in the world – we are a unique destination for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

All our food is made from scratch – we bake our own bread and produce all oils, sauces, and dish components in-house. We actively work towards zero waste and maintain a clear environmental focus across our operations.

We are looking for a chef with at least 3 years of experience who is passionate about cooking, quality, and craftsmanship – and who is eager to develop further in a team committed to excellence. You value teamwork, precision, and a long-term perspective in a professional kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes according to our concept and high standards
• Take part in menu development and flavor design
• Ensure top quality in taste, texture, and presentation
• Work sustainably with seasonal ingredients
• Follow hygiene procedures according to HACCP

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience as a chef
• Has a genuine passion for food and professional growth
• Is responsible, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
• Thrives in a fast-paced and structured team environment
• Has good knowledge of English (required)
• Knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Holds all necessary legal documentation to work in Spain / Gran Canaria (required)
• Can handle stress
• Are prepared to work peak season, weekends and holiday evenings (we are an evening restaurant)
